Notes |
- Franey Wallace (1814 aft 1880) raised five children whose father was reportedly a Hunsucker. Franey's children were Martha J., Mary Ann, Rebecca Jane, John Mack "Mack"and Julia Frances. Martha J. married William Zeno Richardson and later in life moved to Liberty County, GA. Mary Ann died leaving a small family, Mack served in the Civil War and later moved his family to Cumberland County, NC, while Rebecca Jane and Julia Frances both raised families in upper Moore County, NC where there descendants still remain. Some of Franey's descendants have reported that it had been passed down that the father of several of Franey's children was a Hunsucker.
My Grandfather, Mallie Wallace, had heard that it was Jim Hunsucker (husband of Elizabeth Williams). Julia Frances Wallace Maness' Death Certificate listed Abram Hunsucker as her father. Abram Hunsucker and Jim Hunsucker are believed to be brothers. During the 1840's Abram Hunsucker moved to Montgomery County, NC.
