      Presentment of Johnson Pool on the charge of assaulting Edmond Holland (Moore County resident) Dec 1828 at the store of Brower and Troy. Emanuel Asbill and Alfred Brower were witnesses. James Pool Jr., William Williamson Jr. (Moore County resident) and Alexander Pool were also involved in general affray. Coonrad Crisco was surety for James Pool; James Pool was surety for Johnson Pool and Abraham Brown for Alexander Pool. During the examination, satisfactory evidence was presented that Alexander Pool did bite off Edmund Holland's ear.

Executors: son Mark Allen and son-in-law Jeremiah Runalds. Witnesses: A. McNeill and John McCrummen. [Editor's Note: The proven date in the Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions was 19 Feb 1828. I think the date of Feb 1829 in the will is an error]
