1832, Aug 30 -- Revolutionary War Pension and Bounty, File S8046 William Barrett
William Barrett (age 77/78), resident of Moore County, NC applied for a pension. He testified that he was born in Feb 1754 or 1755. Neil McLeod and Michael Bryant testified they were acquainted with William Barrett and he served in the Revolutionary War. C.H. Dowd, A.C. Curry, M. Buie, R.R. Miller, Wm. Jackson, Jesse F. Muse, Corn. Dowd Jr., Corns. Dowd, Wm. Brewer, A. Munroe, Wm. Hancock, Halcom Cox, Jesse Sanders, Wm. Caddell, Stephen Berryman and E. McIntosh submitted affidavits of support in Mar 1838. Wm. Barrett, Saml. Barrett, Jacob Stutts and wife Elizabeth Barrett Stutts (children of William Barrett) filed claim on May 13, 1852. Patience Lewis (brother of William Barrett) age 95 years also submitted an affidavit of support on April 15, 1854. Henry B. Stutts (grandson of William Barrett) submitted that William Barrett died Mar 1, 1840 and wife Ann died in Dec 1840.
