      "The painful duty devolves upon us to record the death of our much beloved and highly esteemed sister and mother in Israel, Tabitha Richardson, the wife of Mathias Richardson. Sister Richardson was born in Moore County, NC Feb 22nd 1793, professed a hope in Christ Jesus in her youthful days, joined the Baptist Church in the year 1828 and lived a pious worthy member of the same until the day of her death which occurred near Marietta, Prentiss Co. Miss, March 1th 1883, aged 90 years and 23 days. After the toils and sufferings of her widowhood for near 13 years, she has caught up with her companion again, no doubt to join together in the praises of our Heavenly Father...Jno. B. Huddleston, Pastor of her church Itawamba County, Miss.
