      David Kegle and wife Catharine of Rowan County deeded William Smith a tract of land located on both sides of Flat Creek including a plantation. John Kegle, Simon Hart and George Kegle were witnesses.

      John Cagle, Henry Sides, Casper Clob, Peter Sides and Doratha Elizabeth Sides appointed Simon Hart as their attorney to recover from John Waginer and Michael Heller of Sorkney, PA their part of the estate of Andrew Felsinger, dec'd, together with the part of Doratha Sides, which she left and granted the attorney to recover.       George Cagle moved to Montgomery County[Present day Stanly County] sometime between 1784-1790. Had received land in 1773 in Cumberland County. Remained in Montgomery County until his death in 1825. Was ancestor of most all of the Cagles families remaining in Stanly County in 1850.
