Brewer stated that he served under Captain William Dowd and was drafted in Aug 1814 and discharged in March 1815. He was born Mar 3, 1793 and married Elizabeth Stutts January 1811 in Moore County, NC. His wife died Jan 19, 1876. A.R. McDonald and Angus Currie witnessed his application.
