1835, Oct 28 -- Obituary, Biblical Recorder [New Bern, NC] Newspaper
"Died, in Hardmon [Hardeman] County, TN on the 25th August, Mr. Enoch S. Kennedy; also, on the morning of the 28th [Aug], Mr. Elias M. Kennedy, his brother. They were born at the same place, lived together and died nearly at the same time and were buried in the same grave. "They were pleasant in their lives and in their death they were not divided." They have each left a widow, who are sisters and five children, to mourn their loss; which will be felt not only by them, but by the community in which they lived."
