  Notes	1893, Jun 6 -- Obituary, Carthage Blade [Carthage, NC] Newspaper Died - At her home, near Deep River, on Friday last, Mrs. Polly Davis, widow of the late James Davis, at the advanced age of 72 years. She was buried by the side of her husband at the family burying ground on Sunday. The funeral was preached by Rev. J.A. Lee, and he was assisted in the services by Rev. Lewis Phillips. Mrs. Davis had for 53 years been a worthy and consistent member of the Cool Spring M.E. Church.
