      1832, Aug 21 -- Revolutionary War Pension and Bounty, File R4592 James Hardin
      James Hardin (born 10 Dec 1754 in Lunenburg County, VA), resident of Moore County, NC, applied for a pension and stated that he entered the service in Feb 1777 in Cumberland County, NC and returned to his family on Deep River in Oct 1781. Rebecca Harden filed a pension claim as an heir of James Hardin 31 Dec 1853 testifying that James Hardin died 11 Jul 1843. Jesse Seawell, a clergyman and John Cheek and Richard Cheek submitted affidavits of support. On 12 Jul 1854, William Shields testified that he was acquainted with James Hardin's daughters who presently lived in Moore County - Mary Mathews, Miberry Hardin, Susan Hardin and Rebecca Hardin.
