      Simon Murchison was born between 1790/1800 in Moore County, North Carolina. Probate and deed records in Hinds County, MS show that he [at least] had siblings John, Sarah (md. William M. Wheeling 29 July 1828 in Hinds, MS), Ann, and Roderick.

      Simon's brother John Murchison died August 1834 in Hinds, MS. In the probate records is the information that Vincent Murphey is to take take of the plantation and estate "until return of brother Simon Murchison, from the north."

      I have the following deeds for JANE M. MURCHISON:

      Hinds County, MS Deed Bk 13:722 - 1 Nov 1839 - Sarah Wheeling to MRS. JANE MURCHISON, $26,000 for 23 negroes. Executed also in Adams County, MS.

      Hinds County, MS Deed Bk 15:325 - 3 March 1842 - Hugh C. Stewart, adminr of estate of Sarah Wheeling, dec'd, late of Hinds County, to JANE M.
