      Ordered that Isaac Harden be appointed overseer of the road from Chatham County to the fork in the road and have the following hands to work: Robert Davis, Hezekiah Johnston, Benjn. Seal, Amos Cheek, Jams. Cheek, Chas. Shiran, Burwell Phillips, Mark Phillips, Lewis Phillips, John Rogers, Enoch Rogers, Joell Phillips, John Cheek, William Handcock, Levy Askins, Jams. Collins, Wm. Malone, John Blacnhett, William Poe and Moses Myrick.

      Robert Davis received 170 acres located south of Deep River below the Poplar Spring Branch adjoining John Blanchard and his own line. Robert Cheek and Amos Cheek were chain carriers.

      Robert Cheek received 180 acres located north of Deep River adjoining his own line and James Collins. Richard Cheek and Amos Cheek were chain carriers.

      Robert Cheek received 100 acres located on Deep River adjoining his own line and John May. James Cheek and Amos Cheek were chain carriers.

      Robert Davis received 200 acres located on Deep River adjoining Charles Shearing, Robert Cheek and his own line. James Cheek and Amos Cheek were chain carriers.

      1807,Dec 17 -- Notice, Weekly Raleigh Register [Raleigh, NC] Newspaper
      Will be sold at the courthouse in Moore County, on the 23rd of Feb next, so much of a tract of land supposed to contain 43 acres, as will be sufficient to pay the taxes due thereon, (and the expenses) for the year 1806; which land is supposed to be the property of Amos Cheek, lying on Tyson Creek, joining the [Chatham] County line and the lands of Archibald McBryde and others.       To be sold at the courthouse in Chatham County, on the 20th of Feb next, so much of a tract of land supposed to be the property of Amos Cheek as will be sufficient to pay the taxes due thereon, (and the expenses) for the year 1806; which land lies on Tyson Creek, joining the [Moore] County line and the lands of Archibald McBryde and others.       Chatham County Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions Aug 1808. Archibald McBride v. Amoss Cheek. This petition is filed for a partition of a tract of land lying in Chatham County; and it is ordered by the court that as Amoss Cheek, who is entitled to a part of the tract of land, is an inhabitant of another state, publication shall be made for three weeks for the defendant Amoss Cheek to appear at the next court on the second Monday of November next and answer, demur, or plead to said petition, otherwise it will be taken pro confesso against him and hear Exparte.       1811, Mar 21 -- Notice, The Raleigh Minerva [Raleigh, NC] Newspaper
      One of the representatives of Phillip Cheek, Dec'd, by his first wife by the name of Susannah Cheek, who was carried off by her mother when a small girl to South Carolina, will find it to her interest to apply to the subscriber, who has in his hands property to which the said Susannah is entitled by the death of her father. Also Amos Cheek, one of the representatives of Robert Cheek, will do well to apply for his interest in the estate of his father. Proper application to the Subscriber on Deep River, Moor County, North Carolina will be attended to. Andrew White
