  Notes	1910 -- Census, Moore County, NC Page 222-B 1920, Jan 29 -- News, The Moore County News [Carthage, NC] Newspaper Mrs. Dianah Jane Stutts (Robeson), born Feb 13, 1838, departed this life Jan 21, 1920, age 81 years, 11 months, 8 days. Three children preceded her to the other world: Mrs. J.W. Hunsucker, Mrs. Q.B. Seawell, Mrs. G.B. Horner. The following are left to mourn her last; W.D. Stutts, Seagrove, H.S. Stutts, Seagrove; J.F. Stutts, Hemp; Mrs. A.G. Williams, High Point; Mrs. H.P. Deaton, Holt, FL. She also left a great number of grand and great grandchildren. Her body was laid by that of her husband in the old cemetery to wait the resurrection. She professed faith in Christ and joined the Mechanics Hill Baptist Church about forty years ago. The name of the church was changed to Flint Hill, of which she remained a member until her death. One feature in her life was that she did not forget strangers passing by. She fed and clothed and sent them on their journey without a charge. She was not rich in this world's goods but she is rich now. I for one can only say Darling mother, thou hast left us, and we long for thee in vain, but we know that thou are freed, from all the earthly care and pain, and in peaceful rest thy soul, dearest mother thou hast entered, in the blessed heavenly goal.
