Our home was in the Palestine area of Henderson county when I was growing up and my dad lived there until he passed away about 10 years ago. Jewel Britt and his dad Elbert Britt were our neighbors. Jewel took my dad to see the grave of Nathan Britt somewhere on Elbert's land (now Jewel's). There was a grave with a rock headstone there believed to mark Beacom's grave if my memory is correct.
